Born in Lufkin, Texas on March 5, 1936, Jack D. Jordan has always remained loyal to his Texas roots.  He attended high school at Stephen F Austin here in Austin, Texas.  He went on to attend Baylor University (Class of 1959) in Waco, Texas.  Jack was also a Personnel Specialist in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964.  He went to seminary in Fort Worth, Texas at Southwestern Baptist in 1976.  He was the pastor here at SACC from 1979 to 1985 and resigned due to his increased responsibility with Texas Department of Transportation.   He retired from TxDOT after 31 years and has since (2016) accepted to be our pastor again.
